COURSE CURRICULUM
The Robotics specialization includes subjects that provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to design, program, operate, and maintain modern robotic systems. The curriculum begins with the basics of control and automation technology, where students learn the principles of automated systems, feedback control, sensors, actuators, programmable controllers, and industrial automation processes. This foundation enables students to understand how machines and robotic systems are controlled to perform tasks accurately, efficiently, and safely. Students also complete an introduction to robotics, which covers the fundamental concepts of robot design, kinematics, motion control, robot programming, sensors, actuators, and robotic applications in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and other industries. A practical robotics project is an important component of the specialization, allowing students to apply their knowledge by designing, programming, testing, and operating robotic systems to solve real-world engineering challenges. Through hands-on laboratory work and project-based learning, students gain experience with robotics software, programming languages, simulation tools, and automation technologies while developing technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and project management skills. Graduates have a wide range of career opportunities in industries that increasingly rely on automation and intelligent robotic technologies. They can work in the development and design of robotic systems, creating innovative robots for industrial automation, healthcare, logistics, research, and service applications. Other career paths include robot programming and commissioning, where professionals develop software, configure robotic systems, and ensure their successful installation and operation in production environments. Graduates may also specialize in the maintenance of robotic systems by diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and ensuring reliable system performance. Additional opportunities exist in technical service and sales, where professionals provide customer support, product demonstrations, technical consulting, and implementation services for robotics solutions. Those interested in innovation and advanced technology can pursue careers in robotics research and development, contributing to the creation of next-generation robotic systems, autonomous technologies, and intelligent automation solutions. The specialization equips graduates with the engineering knowledge, programming expertise, and practical experience required to succeed in the rapidly expanding global robotics and automation industry.
