COURSE CURRICULUM
The Film Production specialization includes a range of practical modules that provide students with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in all stages of the filmmaking process. The curriculum focuses on developing technical, creative, and organizational skills through project-based learning, allowing students to gain practical experience in planning, producing, directing, filming, editing, and completing professional film projects. Students learn how to manage the complete production workflow, from concept development and script preparation to filming, post-production, and final distribution. In addition to core film production techniques, the program explores the application of filmmaking across a variety of professional sectors. Students study film production for the entertainment industry, creating content for cinema, television, streaming platforms, and digital media. They also learn how film is used in corporate communication to produce promotional videos, internal communications, training materials, and brand storytelling. The curriculum further examines film production in science communication, where audiovisual content is used to explain complex scientific topics in an engaging and accessible way. Students also explore applications in journalism, producing documentaries, news features, and factual storytelling, as well as in youth work, where film is used as a tool for education, awareness, community engagement, and social development. Throughout the program, students strengthen their creativity, storytelling, teamwork, communication, leadership, technical production, and project management skills while building a professional portfolio of film projects. Graduates have a wide range of career opportunities within the film and media industries. They can work in various areas of film production, including concept and material development, script coordination, production planning, directing assistance, production management, cinematography support, editing, sound production, visual post-production, and film management. Additional opportunities are available in television production, digital content creation, corporate media production, documentary filmmaking, advertising agencies, production companies, streaming services, and multimedia organizations. Graduates may also pursue freelance careers as filmmakers, producers, editors, or production coordinators. The specialization equips students with the creative, technical, and business knowledge required to manage professional film projects successfully and build careers across the rapidly growing global film, media, and audiovisual production industries.
