COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master in International Management program at ISM in Germany offers a structured and practice-oriented curriculum that spans three semesters. In the first semester, students gain a solid foundation in international business through a variety of subjects grouped into core areas. The International Business Environment module includes courses in international business law, financial management, and financial reporting. Strategic thinking is developed through advanced strategic management, business development, and participation in an international business game. Innovation competence is cultivated with courses in innovation management, project management, and new business models and design thinking. Organizational development is addressed through global HR management, the concept of New Work in international organizations, and understanding transformation in global environments. Leadership skills are also emphasized, with classes in corporate governance and business ethics, negotiation and executive presentations, and cross-cultural leadership. The second semester deepens practical and financial expertise. Students engage in a hands-on consulting project while also learning how to manage such projects. The financial focus includes corporate controlling, business planning and venture capital, and financial risk management. Marketing skills for a global context are covered through digital marketing, customer relationship marketing, and advanced market research. Operational knowledge is expanded with courses in global sourcing, production and supply chain management, and logistics management. The third semester is entirely dedicated to a study abroad experience, giving students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a new international context while earning 24 ECTS credits. This structure ensures that students not only build a broad and deep understanding of international management but also gain valuable practical and cross-cultural experience. The program’s integrated approach, combining academic learning with real-world business applications, prepares graduates for leadership roles in diverse global settings.
