COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management at ISM provides a well-rounded and forward-looking education that combines technical knowledge, global perspective, and practical experience. In the first semester, students begin by exploring different transportation modes, including land, sea, and aviation, along with infrastructure management through field studies. Core logistics operations are covered through integrated supply chain design, sourcing and procurement, and logistics and production management. The global dimension is emphasized in modules such as digital and sustainable supply chains, international logistics law, and the intersection of ecology and economics. In addition, students explore organizational development in logistics with courses in resilient strategy, HR and talent management, and innovation and business transformation. Leadership development is integrated through training in corporate governance, cross-cultural leadership, and communication skills. The second semester advances into specialized areas of operations, focusing on process optimization, quality management, and managing global e-commerce supply chains. Students also gain critical insights into risk and performance with modules on cost control, key performance indicators, and operations risk management. Business analytics is a central theme, including quantitative methods, data science, business intelligence, and process mining—equipping students with the tools to drive data-informed decision-making. A strong practical component is embedded in the project work, which includes training in research methods, consulting tools, and a hands-on consulting project. The semester concludes with the first internship phase, allowing students to apply their skills in real-world logistics environments. In the third semester, students spend time abroad, earning 24 ECTS credits while expanding their international outlook and choosing elective courses based on their specialization and partner university offerings. Overall, this program prepares graduates for leadership roles in logistics strategy, supply chain optimization, risk management, and sustainable operations in the global marketplace.
