COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master in Finance at ISM offers a rigorous and practice-oriented curriculum that prepares students for leadership roles in global financial markets. In the first semester, students build a strong foundation in quantitative methods through courses in financial mathematics, statistics, and financial modeling for investment decisions. Core financial disciplines are explored through modules in asset management, capital market theory, and corporate finance, while in-depth studies in derivatives provide both theoretical knowledge and practical application of options and financial instruments. The semester also covers financial reporting and legal fundamentals, including international accounting, taxation, and business law, ensuring students understand the regulatory and legal contexts of finance. Leadership training is integrated into the program, with courses on corporate governance, cross-cultural leadership, and communication skills, preparing students to lead teams and navigate complex business environments. In the second semester, students deepen their expertise with advanced topics such as international financial reporting, ESG and group reporting, and auditing. The focus on risk and regulation includes financial market regulation, credit rating analysis, and financial risk management. Corporate and investment banking topics are tackled through case-based learning in mergers and acquisitions, public and private market transactions, and valuation techniques. The curriculum also embraces innovation and digital trends with courses on blockchain, digital assets, and applied data science in finance. Students engage in a capstone project, where they apply their knowledge to real-world finance challenges, and complete a mandatory internship to gain professional experience. The third semester is spent abroad, allowing students to broaden their global perspective and tailor their education with electives offered by ISM’s international partner universities.
