COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Data Science & Business Analytics at the International School of Management (ISM) is a six-semester program that combines business fundamentals with modern data science techniques to prepare students for careers in a rapidly evolving digital economy. In the first semester, students build a foundation in core areas such as Business Administration, Financial Reporting, Business Mathematics, and Digital Competencies, while also developing practical skills through modules like Calculation Software and Business Communication. The specialization begins early with Programming and Statistical Tools. The second semester deepens analytical and economic understanding with courses in Management Accounting, Statistics, and Micro- and Macroeconomics, supported by scientific and communication skills training. Specialization continues with modules like Analytics & Dynamics and Applied Data Science 1. In the third semester, the curriculum expands to include Law, Human Resources and Change Management, Market Research, Economic Policy, and Project Management, complemented by Applied Data Science 2. The fourth semester is an integrated semester abroad, where students earn 25 ECTS at a partner university, paired with a 5 ECTS internship, providing valuable international and professional exposure. The fifth semester focuses on strategic thinking through Corporate Projects, Strategic Management, and Sustainability & Business Ethics. Students further specialize with courses like Business Research and Market Analytics and can complete another internship. In the final semester, students choose electives in either Leadership or Innovation and continue specialization with Business Applications in Data Analytics/Data Science and Information Transfer. A final internship and a 10 ECTS Bachelor’s Thesis conclude the program. With a strong balance of theoretical knowledge, technical expertise, and practical experience, this program prepares students to become data-savvy professionals capable of transforming business challenges into data-driven solutions.
