COURSE CURRICULUM

The Software Engineering bachelor’s program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines technical, business, and intercultural competencies. These courses prepare students with the core skills necessary for designing, building, and maintaining modern software systems.General business competencies are integrated throughout the program, including digital transformation and cases, sustainability management, project management, and innovation management in a digital and globalised world. These modules ensure students understand the broader business environment and the role of technology within it.The curriculum also develops action and intercultural competencies, with courses in creative problem solving and strategy development, foreign language, internships, and options to study abroad or participate in a career development semester. This flexible approach helps students gain practical experience and cultural awareness, essential for today’s globalised workplace.Scientific and methodological skills are emphasized through mathematical foundations, statistics, academic writing and research methods, culminating in the bachelor thesis.A highlight of the program is the Career Development Semester, where students engage in an end-to-end computer science project. This includes working on data driven business models, a business start-up simulation, and AI applications for digital business, providing real-world experience and preparing students for professional success.
