COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc in Robotics and Intelligent Systems (RIS) at Constructor University offers a structured, hands-on education in the engineering and computer science principles behind autonomous systems. In the first year, students complete six foundational CHOICE modules (45 CP), including Introduction to Robotics and Intelligent Systems, Programming in C and C++, Algorithms and Data Structures, Computer Science, Classical Physics, and Electrical Engineering. This broad base enables students to develop core skills across robotics, software, and hardware, and allows flexibility to switch to related majors such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. In the second year, students deepen their knowledge through mandatory and elective CORE modules (45 CP) including Robotics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Automation, Embedded Systems, and a practical RIS Lab. The curriculum emphasizes real-world skills through projects and labs. In the third year, students undertake a mandatory two-month internship and choose 15 CP of specialization modules in areas like Human-Computer Interaction, Marine Robotics, Optimization, or courses from related fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mathematics. A study abroad semester and a Bachelor’s thesis complete the final year. This combination of theoretical instruction, practical application, and interdisciplinary electives prepares students for careers in robotics, AI, automation, or further academic study.
