COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc in Physics and Data Science at Constructor University is a structured three-year program that builds foundational knowledge in physics and computational methods while preparing students for careers in science, research, and technology. In the first year, students take 45 CP of CHOICE modules, including mandatory courses such as Classical and Modern Physics, Programming in Python and C++, and Mathematical Modeling (30 CP). They also select between Algorithms and Data Structures or Core Algorithms and Data Structures, plus one additional CHOICE module to explore broader interests or support a potential change of major. The second year deepens students’ expertise through 45 CP of CORE modules covering key areas in physics and data science, including Analytical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Advanced Physics Labs, Computational Modeling, Scientific Data Analysis, and Machine Learning. In the final year, students select 15 CP of Specialization Modules—10 CP in advanced physics areas like Condensed Matter Physics, Biophysics, and Quantum Fields, and 5 CP in data science topics such as Deep Learning or Data Visualization. Students may also take related modules from other disciplines. A mandatory two-month internship between the second and third year offers real-world experience or the chance to pursue a start-up project. The program concludes with a Bachelor’s thesis in the sixth semester.
