COURSE CURRICULUM

The Mathematics, Modeling and Data Analytics (MMDA) program at Constructor University is structured to provide a rigorous and interdisciplinary education across three years. In the first year, students take 45 credit points (CP) from a set of introductory CHOICE modules, with at least 30 CP dedicated to core MMDA subjects. These include foundational courses in Analysis, Linear Algebra, Mathematical Modeling, and Scientific Programming with Python, which together build a strong base in calculus, algebra, programming, and applied problem-solving. The remaining 15 CP can be selected based on personal interests or used to explore other majors. In the second year, students deepen their knowledge through 40 CP of mandatory CORE modules covering key mathematical disciplines such as Algebra, Real and Complex Analysis, Number Theory, Discrete Mathematics, and modern applied topics like Computational Modeling, Scientific Data Analysis, and Machine Learning. Additionally, students begin to specialize through 5 CP from a selection of advanced MMDA modules including topics like Stochastic Modeling, Mathematical Physics, and Topology. The third year focuses on preparing for professional or academic futures. Students undertake a two-month mandatory internship for 15 CP, offering real-world experience or the opportunity to develop a start-up. In the final semesters, students pursue 20 CP of advanced specialization modules in areas such as Dynamical Systems, Stochastic Processes, and Differential Geometry, with the option to substitute 5 CP from related programs in physics or computer science. A study abroad opportunity is built into the fifth semester, while the sixth is reserved for the Bachelor thesis, allowing students to engage in focused research. This curriculum blends deep theoretical training with practical and computational skills, ensuring MMDA graduates are well-prepared for careers in academia, research, industry, or further graduate study in mathematics, data science, or related fields.
