COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science program is structured over three years to provide a strong foundation, advanced disciplinary knowledge, and career-oriented experience. In the first year, students build essential skills through a broad selection of CHOICE modules, with a focus on core Computer Science fundamentals. Mandatory modules include Programming in C and C++, Algorithms and Data Structures, Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science, and Digital Systems and Computer Architecture. These courses introduce programming paradigms, algorithmic thinking, mathematical reasoning, and an understanding of computer hardware and low-level programming. Students also select additional CHOICE modules based on their interests, allowing flexibility to pursue a minor or change majors in the second year. The second year deepens technical expertise through CORE modules such as Databases, Software Engineering, Operating Systems, and Automata, Computability, and Complexity. Students further customize their studies by selecting discipline-specific mandatory electives or modules from another field to support a minor. In the third year, the focus shifts toward career preparation and specialization. Students complete a mandatory summer internship, have opportunities for study abroad, and engage in an extended bachelor thesis project. They also choose specialization modules from a wide range of advanced topics, enabling them to align their studies with professional goals or research interests.
