COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business Administration (IBA) program at Constructor University is structured across three years and designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of global business practices, combining foundational theory, discipline-specific knowledge, practical experience, and international exposure. In the first year, students take 60 credit points (CP) of CHOICE modules, including 30 CP of mandatory courses such as Introduction to International Business, Finance and Accounting, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics. These courses lay the groundwork for understanding the complex relationship between individual firms and their broader economic environments. The remaining 15 CP can be selected based on personal interests or to keep options open for changing majors by the second year. In the second year, students advance their studies through 45 CP of CORE modules that build on foundational knowledge and introduce more in-depth content in areas such as Applied Project Management, International Strategic Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Human Resource Management. These modules provide a deeper understanding of management practices, strategic planning, and innovation in international business contexts. The third year emphasizes specialization, research, and career preparation. Students select advanced specialization modules aligned with their career goals and participate in the CONSTRUCTOR Track, which encourages broader thinking and responsibility beyond the business discipline. A mandatory two-month internship during the summer between the second and third year offers practical experience in a professional setting or the opportunity to develop a start-up business plan. In the fifth semester, students can take advantage of international mobility through a study abroad program. The final semester is dedicated to an extensive bachelor’s thesis, allowing students to apply research skills and demonstrate their ability to engage in independent, discipline-related inquiry. Overall, the IBA program offers a balanced blend of academic rigor, practical skills, and international perspective, preparing graduates for careers in global business and leadership.
