COURSE CURRICULUM

The Global Economics and Management (GEM) program at Constructor University starts with a broad foundation in the first year, where students select 45 CP of introductory modules, including 30 CP specific to their major. First-year GEM students take core CHOICE modules in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Introduction to International Business, and Introduction to Finance and Accounting, combining lectures and tutorials to grasp basic economic and business concepts. In the second year, students deepen their knowledge through 45 CP of CORE modules, with 30 CP mandatory courses such as Development Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Comparing Economic Systems, International Economics, Marketing, and Organization and Human Resource Management. These courses use seminars and tutorials to foster interactive learning and develop skills in essay writing and presentations. Students may choose an additional 15 CP in CORE modules or minors to tailor their studies. The third year focuses on career preparation, including a mandatory summer internship and an option to study abroad in the fifth semester. The final semester is dedicated to the Bachelor’s thesis, enhancing research skills. Students also complete 15 CP in specialization modules to advance their expertise in areas like Advanced Econometrics, Managing Public and Nonprofit Organizations, Information Economics, Lean Management, Managerial Accounting, or Contemporary Topics in Marketing, enabling them to stay current with the latest developments in their field.
