COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in International Health Management is a well-rounded program designed to prepare students for leadership roles within global healthcare systems. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical application and is delivered primarily on campus, with several modules offered in a blended format. Students also have access to supplementary course and reading materials through the UNINETTUNO platform.The curriculum begins with an exploration of health systems through modules such as National Health Systems and Health Policy, and Anthropology and Sociology of Health and Medical Care. Both are offered in a blended format and provide a strong foundation in how health services are structured and influenced by cultural, political, and social contexts. Ethical, Cultural and Behavioural Aspects of Health is also delivered in a blended format and addresses the human elements that affect healthcare delivery and outcomes.Students further develop management expertise through modules such as Management of Health Organisations, which is offered in both traditional and blended formats. This module covers key principles in healthcare administration and organisational effectiveness. Human Resources Management and Health Organisations focuses on workforce development and team management within healthcare environments. Information Technology in Health Systems introduces students to the digital transformation of healthcare, including health information systems and data-driven decision making.Decision Making, Planning and Leadership is a core module that equips students with essential strategic and operational skills for effective leadership in healthcare. Socioeconomic Research in Health Services, offered in blended format, teaches students how to conduct impactful research by analysing economic and social trends affecting healthcare.The final term of the program is dedicated to the dissertation. Students select a topic of personal and professional interest and conduct independent research under academic supervision. This major project enables students to demonstrate their analytical abilities, subject knowledge, and capacity to contribute to the advancement of international health management practices.
