COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc International Health Management program is structured across four terms to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems, management practices, and leadership skills. In Term 1, students build a strong foundation by studying Principles of Healthcare Management, Human Resources Management and Health Organisations, and Decision Making, Planning and Leadership. These modules develop essential knowledge in healthcare administration, workforce management, and strategic leadership. In Term 2, the focus shifts to policy and financial aspects of healthcare through National Health Systems and Health Policy, Management of Healthcare Organisations, and Economic and Financial Management of Healthcare. Students learn how healthcare systems operate, how policies shape services, and how to manage healthcare finances effectively. In Term 3, students explore specialised and research-oriented topics such as Information Technology in Health Systems, Anthropology and Sociology of Health and Medical Care, Ethical, Cultural and Behavioural Aspects of Health, and Socioeconomic Research in Health Services. These modules provide insight into the social, cultural, technological, and ethical factors influencing healthcare delivery. In Term 4, students apply their learning through a Professional Internship or Capstone Project, along with completing a Dissertation or Project. These final components allow students to gain practical experience, conduct independent research, and solve real-world healthcare challenges. Overall, the program prepares graduates for leadership roles in healthcare management and policy worldwide.
