COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Psychology program is delivered entirely on campus and uses a diverse range of teaching and learning methods to provide a comprehensive and engaging educational experience. Learning activities include lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars, practical work, educational videos, and field trips, ensuring a balance between theory and application. Assessment is varied and includes individual and group reports, presentations, case studies, essays, portfolios, reflective journals, and experiential work-based activities. Much of the coursework is completed in groups, encouraging collaboration and teamwork, with continuous academic support provided through structured individual and online tutorials. Teaching takes place from Monday to Saturday across morning, afternoon, and evening sessions, with each academic year divided into three terms. The curriculum is structured progressively across three years. In the first year, students develop foundational knowledge in psychology, research skills, human interaction, interpersonal skills, and positive psychology. The second year builds deeper understanding of key psychological disciplines such as cognitive, biological, developmental, social, and forensic psychology, alongside advanced research methods. In the final year, students focus on applied and professional practice through independent projects, organizational and cultural psychology, social issues, sport and exercise psychology, and professional skills development. This structure ensures graduates gain strong theoretical knowledge, research competence, and practical skills for diverse career pathways.
