COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Public Health at Arden University Berlin is structured around a series of core modules designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical expertise required to excel in public health leadership and management roles. The program begins with Research Methods, providing students with essential skills in designing, conducting, and analysing research, forming a foundation for evidence-based practice. Contemporary Challenges in Public Health examines the pressing issues facing global and local health systems, including emerging diseases, health inequalities, and socio-economic determinants of health. Health Policy explores the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies that shape public health delivery, enabling students to understand the frameworks guiding effective healthcare governance. Preventative Health and Promotion focuses on strategies to enhance health literacy, implement community-based interventions, and reduce the burden of preventable diseases. Epidemiology develops analytical skills to investigate patterns, causes, and effects of health conditions across populations, while Gender and Sexual Reproductive Health addresses the specific health needs and disparities affecting diverse communities. The program culminates in a substantial Research Project, allowing students to apply their learning to real-world public health challenges, analyse data, and propose evidence-based solutions. Together, these modules ensure graduates are well-prepared to lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to improving population health on local, national, and global scales.
