COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Health and Care Management degree at Arden University Berlin is structured across three levels to provide a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management while developing practical and leadership skills. At Level 4, students build a strong foundation through modules such as Essential Skills for Health and Care Management, Meeting the Needs of Service Users, Planetary Health, Health Promotion, Supporting Dignity and Respect Through Ethical Principles and Theories, and Communication and Interprofessional Collaboration, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand service delivery and patient-centered care. Level 5 focuses on applied management and analytical skills with modules including Leadership Theory and Concepts for Health and Care Management, Fundamentals of Health and Care Finance, Public Health, Resource Planning in Multidisciplinary Working, Digital Health Leadership, and Evidence-Based Practice, preparing students to manage teams and resources effectively within healthcare organisations. Level 6 develops strategic, global, and leadership capabilities through modules such as Global Health and Sustainability, Health Analytics and Planning, Total Quality Management in Health and Care, Project Management, Independent Study for Health and Care Management, and Coaching and Leadership, enabling students to address complex challenges and implement best practices. Across all levels, the program combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring graduates are equipped to take on senior-level responsibilities, lead multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the effective management and improvement of healthcare services globally.
