COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Wine and Spirits Management is structured across two semesters to provide a comprehensive understanding of both the business and technical aspects of the industry. In Semester 1, students focus on core foundations such as wine economics, financial analysis, and wine and spirits law, which help them understand the regulatory and financial environment of the sector. They also develop practical skills in managing and negotiating with distributors and designing effective export strategies. In addition, students gain in-depth product knowledge through the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, strengthening their expertise in wine characteristics and quality assessment. In Semester 2, the program shifts towards advanced management and industry challenges, covering supply chain and operations management, strategic management, and entrepreneurship. Students also expand their knowledge of spirits, gaining a broader understanding of the beverage industry. A strong emphasis is placed on sustainability through the study of climate change and sustainable solutions, preparing students to address environmental challenges within the sector. The curriculum is completed with wine and spirits marketing, enabling students to develop effective branding and market positioning strategies. Overall, the program combines technical knowledge, business skills, and industry insight, preparing students for diverse roles in the global wine and spirits market.
