COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Business Law, Responsible Business Conduct and Compliance is structured across two semesters, offering a comprehensive blend of legal, financial, and ethical knowledge. In the first semester, students build a strong foundation in business and finance law, covering areas such as economic sanctions, investment law principles, commercial contracts, intellectual property law, and financial and banking law. They also examine corporate deviance and advanced corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, to understand legal risks and corporate governance. In the second semester, the focus shifts toward the impact of digitalisation on law, with subjects including cloud and data law, cybersecurity, blockchain, smart contracts, and digital finance. Students also study litigation risks, gaining insight into both preventive and reactive legal strategies. Across both semesters, the program integrates responsible business conduct and sustainability topics, including financial and sustainability reporting, sustainable finance, business law and human rights, and climate change risks and obligations. Civil and criminal litigation risks are also addressed to provide a complete view of legal accountability. Overall, the curriculum equips students with the expertise to navigate complex legal environments, support ethical decision-making, and manage compliance in global organisations, preparing them for careers in corporate law, compliance, and risk management.
