COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc program is structured over two semesters, providing a strong foundation in finance followed by specialised pathways. In the first semester, students focus on core financial knowledge, including advanced corporate finance, portfolio management, and financial modelling, which build analytical and decision-making skills. They also study international financial macroeconomics to understand global economic dynamics, along with ethical and professional standards that are essential for responsible financial practice. The “Make Your Impact” challenge encourages practical application of knowledge through real-world problem solving and teamwork. In the second semester, students choose between two specialised tracks based on their career goals. The Financial Markets track, offered on the Bordeaux campus, covers areas such as FinTech and digital banking, market risk management, financial derivatives and trading, and quantitative finance, with a strong emphasis on computational tools like Python and VBA. It also includes forex and money market studies to deepen understanding of global financial systems. Alternatively, the Corporate Finance track, based on the Marseille campus, focuses on areas such as mergers and acquisitions, valuation techniques for IPOs and leveraged buyouts, venture capital, and corporate venturing. It also includes advanced valuation methods and International Financial Reporting Standards, preparing students for strategic financial roles in organisations.
