COURSE CURRICULUM

The program provides comprehensive knowledge of international trade finance, risk management, compliance, and digital transformation within global trade operations. Students begin by exploring international trade opportunities and challenges in complex economic and political environments, gaining an understanding of how global markets operate and the risks involved in cross-border transactions. The curriculum covers the fundamentals of trade finance, including its role, key concepts, and the financial instruments used to secure international trade. Participants learn the differences between open account transactions and trade finance instruments such as documentary credits, standby letters of credit, international guarantees, and structured trade finance solutions used in international engineering and large-scale projects. A strong focus is placed on identifying and managing major trade-related risks, including operational risks, anti-money laundering concerns, sanctions, terrorism financing, bribery, and fraud. Students also study compliance procedures, trade-based money laundering detection, KYC requirements, and international regulations from organizations such as OFAC, ACPR, and FATF. In addition, the program examines the digital transformation of trade finance through technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital platforms, and MLETR adoption. Logistics essentials, including Incoterms, customs regulations, and international trade practices, further strengthen students’ operational and strategic understanding of global trade finance management.
