COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of International Business consists of 72 credit points, which students must successfully complete to graduate. The program begins with a set of foundation subjects that are required to be completed within the first two sessions of study. These subjects provide essential knowledge in management, business environments, and analytical skills that support advanced coursework undertaken later in the program. Students who have previously completed a bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce, or who hold a UOWD Graduate Certificate in Business, may be eligible to complete the degree in a reduced study load of eight subjects. This is assessed in accordance with UOWD’s policy on Credit for Prior Learning and is finalised in consultation with the Faculty of Business before the commencement of the program. While students progress through the curriculum, MGNT912 is recommended to be taken during the final two sessions, as it builds on earlier learning and encourages the application of international business concepts in practical contexts. The program concludes with the capstone subject, BUS 922 Business Research Capstone, which must be completed in the final session. This capstone enables students to integrate and apply the full range of knowledge and skills gained throughout the degree. The overall program structure includes both business and management subjects, starting with core business foundation subjects designed to establish a strong academic and professional base for all students.
