People management is central to the success of any organization, and with rapid transformations reshaping today’s workplaces, human resource professionals are increasingly expected to act as leaders, strategists, and drivers of organizational change. This degree equips students with strong knowledge and practical people-management skills essential for managing an organization’s most important asset—its human resources. The program covers critical HR areas such as employee relations, recruitment and selection, HR operations, management of change, learning and development, strategic HR management, and occupational health and safety. Students also explore emerging trends that are redefining the field, including HR analytics, digitalization, talent acquisition and retention strategies, and the evolving role of HR in a technology-driven environment. Through industry-based projects, learners gain valuable exposure to real-world HR practices, preparing them for the future of work.Our Bachelor of Business major in Human Resource Management, formerly known as Bachelor of Commerce: Human Resource Management, is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), enabling graduates to gain Associate Membership upon completion. In addition, the curriculum emphasizes Responsible Business Management aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering a deeper understanding of ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible HR practices. Students may also participate in internships to gain practical experience, improving their employability.The program further broadens students’ perspectives through interdisciplinary subjects that explore the complexity of societies and global challenges. Courses such as Urban Sociology examine the growth of cities in the UAE and Dubai, sustainable development, and the built environment. Public Health introduces regional well-being issues and intervention strategies, while UAE in International Relations highlights the country’s expanding diplomatic role and global interdependence. Additional subjects explore society–environment interactions, climate change, sustainability, and the historical and cultural evolution of Islamic societies. Together, these subjects deepen students’ understanding of the social, cultural, and environmental contexts shaping modern organizations.
