COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Software Engineering is structured to provide advanced technical depth while preparing students for innovation-driven roles in modern digital industries. Across four semesters, students progressively build expertise in computing systems, software development methodologies and emerging technological domains. The first semester focuses on foundational and forward-looking competencies through modules such as Software Optimization and Speculative Futures, enabling students to understand efficiency-driven development and anticipate technological trends. The program continues with intensive training in Multi-Core Programming, Decision Support Systems and Business Coaching in the second semester, ensuring students are able to design scalable programs, evaluate software-driven decision frameworks and develop the leadership skills required to guide engineering teams. By the third semester, learning expands into advanced methodologies through Pattern Recognition, Advanced Software Design and Cloud Computing, integrating key competencies in intelligent system architecture and real-world optimisation. The module on Vehicular Technology introduces the specialised application of software in mobility solutions, reflecting global trends in autonomous systems and automotive computing. Students are also encouraged to broaden their academic exposure through interdisciplinary electives and faculty-wide modules, promoting collaboration with other disciplines and understanding software within wider creative, cultural and business contexts. The Capstone Project serves as a practical, consultancy-oriented experience that challenges students to apply specialised knowledge to industry problems in a professional environment. The final semester is dedicated to the Thesis and Colloquium, where students present research grounded in innovation, software performance, cloud technologies and machine learning systems. With a total of 120 ECTS, the program equips future engineers to operate confidently in sectors ranging from automotive intelligence to cloud computing, advanced analytics, smart products and integrated network systems. This master’s degree ultimately cultivates high-level technical proficiency, strategic thinking and forward-focused problem-solving within an evolving global software landscape.
