COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Data Science is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills to analyze, interpret, and apply data across a range of industries. The program spans four semesters and integrates core modules, specialization courses, and interdisciplinary electives, amounting to 120 ECTS credits. In the first semester, students focus on foundational concepts such as Data Engineering and Data Analytics, along with essential business and research skills. The second semester builds on this foundation with courses in Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Marketing Analytics, and Advanced Research Methodologies, emphasizing both technical expertise and analytical thinking. During the third semester, students explore Data Visualization, Data Science applications for business, and entrepreneurial thinking, while also engaging in interdisciplinary electives and practical projects that foster collaboration and problem-solving across different domains. The fourth semester culminates with a Capstone Project, where students apply their accumulated knowledge to real-world, consulting-style projects, as well as a Thesis and Colloquium, which allow them to conduct in-depth research and present their findings. The program combines theory, hands-on practice, and leadership development, including a Contemporary Leadership and Culture module, to prepare graduates for strategic and managerial roles in data-driven environments. With a strong focus on practical application, analytical reasoning, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the M.Sc. in Data Science equips students to tackle complex business challenges, optimize processes, and innovate in areas such as finance, marketing, technology, and beyond.
