COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering is structured to provide students with a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for a career in software development. In the initial semesters, students focus on core subjects including English, Mathematics & Statistics, Programming, Computer Architecture, and Operating Systems, establishing essential analytical and technical skills. They also explore Digital Media & Communication to strengthen their understanding of user interaction and media integration in software applications. As the program progresses, students dive into Backend Development, Software Engineering, Frontend Programming, GUI Design, and Web Optimization, learning to create functional, visually appealing, and efficient software solutions. Advanced modules cover IT Agile Development, Software Engineering 2, Corporate Management, StartUp-Management, Big Data & Analytics, Parallel Programming, and Cloud Computing & Distributed Systems, preparing students to handle complex, large-scale software systems and emerging technologies. Hands-on practice is embedded throughout the curriculum, including project work that encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and the application of industry-standard tools and methodologies. In addition to campus-based learning, students engage in a semester abroad or internship semester, providing real-world experience and exposure to professional environments. This combination of technical expertise, practical projects, and industry immersion equips graduates with the skills to develop high-quality software, manage development processes, and innovate in areas such as cloud computing, distributed systems, and big data analytics. By the completion of the program, students will have achieved 180 ECTS credits, demonstrating comprehensive mastery of software engineering principles, programming languages, system architecture, and modern development practices, positioning them for successful careers in software development, game programming, mobile and web application development, and IT consulting.
