COURSE CURRICULUM

The HND in Digital Technologies (Cyber Security) programme is structured over two years, with each year carrying 120 credits and focusing on the development of practical, technical, and professional skills required in the digital and cyber security industries. In Year 1, students are introduced to the foundations of digital technologies through modules such as Professional Practice in the Digital Economy, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Programming, Networking, Security, Networking in the Cloud, Cyber Security, and Big Data and Visualization. These subjects help learners build core knowledge in computing, cloud technologies, data analysis, and network security while also strengthening problem-solving, communication, and technical skills. The programme combines theoretical understanding with hands-on learning through practical assignments and real-world applications. In Year 2, students move into more advanced and specialised areas of digital technology, including Emerging Technologies, Applied Security in the Cloud, Digital Sustainability, Pitching and Negotiating Skills, Business Intelligence, Internet of Things, Applied Cryptography in the Cloud, and Information Security Management in the Cloud. These modules provide deeper insight into modern technological trends, cyber protection methods, and cloud-based security systems. The programme prepares students for careers in cyber security, networking, cloud computing, and digital innovation, while also supporting progression to higher academic studies in technology-related fields.
