COURSE CURRICULUM

The HND in Digital Technologies (Artificial Intelligence Solutions and Applications) programme is structured over two years, with each year carrying 120 credits and focusing on the development of technical, analytical, and professional skills required in the modern AI and digital technology sector. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation through modules such as Professional Practice in the Digital Economy, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, Programming, Big Data and Visualization, Cloud Fundamentals, Software Development Lifecycles, and Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems. These subjects introduce learners to the core concepts of artificial intelligence, software development, cloud computing, and data analysis while also strengthening communication, teamwork, research, and problem-solving abilities. In Year 2, students advance into specialised and industry-relevant areas including Business Intelligence, Internet of Things, Emerging Technologies, Risk Analysis and Systems Testing, Application Development, and Application Program Interfaces. Additional modules such as Digital Sustainability and Pitching and Negotiating Skills help students understand the wider business and environmental impact of technology while improving professional and leadership capabilities. The programme combines practical learning, real-world projects, and technical training to prepare students for careers in artificial intelligence, software development, and digital innovation, while also providing opportunities for progression to undergraduate and postgraduate studies in technology-related fields.
