COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science program is designed to build a strong, progressive foundation in both theoretical computing and applied software development, beginning with essential systems knowledge before advancing into intelligent data processes and professional software engineering. Computer Programming builds fluency in widely used coding languages, while Operating Systems and Networks provides insight into system control, communication protocols and network architecture that support digital infrastructure. In the second year, learning becomes more specialised with Object-Oriented Design and Development, enabling students to create modular, scalable and efficient software solutions, while Data Structures and Algorithms strengthens analytical reasoning and technical optimisation skills. Web Application Development offers practical experience in modern front-end and back-end platforms, and the Agile Development Team Project mirrors industry workflow by requiring collaborative coding, iterative testing and project delivery. In the final year, the curriculum focuses on advanced computing intelligence and software professionalism through Software Development: Methods and Standards, alongside Big Data and Machine Learning, where students explore predictive analytics, neural techniques and high-volume data processing for digital decision-making. A capstone Development Project allows students to design and execute a computing solution that demonstrates innovation, technical maturity and real-world problem solving, while Elective Modules provide opportunities to specialise across areas such as web security, advanced programming, privacy techniques or system optimisation.
