Business analysis techniques equip learners with quantitative skills in statistics and financial mathematics, supported by relevant software, to summarise data and solve real-world financial problems, while incorporating responsible business values and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Regulatory and ethical decision making enhances understanding of legal frameworks in finance and develops moral reasoning skills needed for ethical decisions in professional accounting roles. As the course progresses, students examine international financial reporting and taxation standards, decision management techniques, corporate finance principles, and the impact of a modern digital environment on financial systems and processes. In the advanced stage, learners refine their knowledge of taxation, professional reporting, strategic decision management, and corporate finance at a higher analytical level. The final block allows for specialised pathways: students may choose Audit and Forensic Accounting to focus on fraud detection, audit procedures, and investigation techniques, or study Contemporary Issues in Accounting to explore emerging challenges such as sustainability reporting, global financial regulation, digital transformation, and evolving corporate governance practices.
