COURSE CURRICULUM

The Foundation Program at Curtin University Dubai is structured to provide flexible study options through either a two-trimester pathway or a single-trimester intensive pathway, depending on students’ academic preparation and progression goals. In Trimester 1 of the standard pathway, students develop essential academic and analytical skills through Critical Thinking, Research, and Writing, while also building digital competency in Computer Productivity and strengthening quantitative ability in Mathematical Foundation I. Introduction to Management provides foundational knowledge of business concepts and organizational principles, preparing students for further study in business-related degrees. In Trimester 2, students advance their academic capabilities with Advanced Critical Thinking, Research, and Writing, which enhances their ability to conduct research, construct arguments, and communicate effectively in an academic context. They also gain introductory knowledge in key business disciplines through Introduction to Marketing, Introduction to Accounting, and Introduction to Project Management, offering a broad understanding of how organizations operate and manage resources. For students undertaking the Single Trimester option, the curriculum condenses core subjects into an intensive format, including Advanced Critical Thinking, Research, and Writing, Mathematical Foundation I, Introduction to Management, and Introduction to Marketing. This streamlined pathway focuses on accelerating academic readiness while ensuring students acquire critical analytical, quantitative, and foundational business skills. Across both study options, the program emphasizes skill development, independent learning, and practical knowledge, equipping students with the academic confidence and competencies required for successful transition into undergraduate studies at Curtin University Dubai.
