COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic and Digital Design offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines creative design, digital technologies, and visual communication skills across eight semesters. The program begins with foundational courses in drawing, typography, interactive media, 2D and 3D design, photography, and art history, helping students build essential artistic and technical abilities. As students progress, they explore advanced areas such as branding, editorial design, illustration, motion graphics, digital imagemaking, video production, and packaging design. The curriculum also emphasizes modern digital practices through courses in creative coding, user interface and spatial design, information design, advanced screen typography, and 3D modelling and animation. Students gain knowledge of contemporary technologies, including generative artificial intelligence and digital media tools, while learning to apply creative thinking to real-world communication challenges. The program encourages critical thinking, visual literacy, ethical awareness, and research skills through subjects such as graphic design history, ethics, psychology, and final year research projects. Practical experience is supported through graphic design work placement opportunities and portfolio development.
