COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc User Experience (UX) Design curriculum is structured to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise essential for designing effective and innovative user experiences. The compulsory modules form the foundation of the program, beginning with Research Methods in UX, which equips students with the skills to conduct rigorous, evidence-based investigations and gather actionable insights from users. User-Centred Design focuses on applying principles that prioritise users’ needs and behaviours throughout the design process, while Prototyping and Evaluation enables students to create and test low and high-fidelity prototypes, refining solutions based on feedback and usability testing. Advanced Topics in User Experience explores emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, allowing students to critically engage with complex UX challenges. The Master’s Project provides an opportunity to integrate theoretical knowledge with applied practice through a substantial research or design project, showcasing analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and professional competence. Optional modules allow students to further specialise and enhance their skill set, including Design Thinking, Digital Skills, Mobile Application Development, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. By combining research, applied practice, and innovation, the program equips graduates with the knowledge, practical experience, and professional portfolio required to succeed in UX design, digital product development, and user-centered technology across diverse industries.
