COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLB (Hons) program at UCLan Cyprus is structured over four years to provide comprehensive knowledge of English and Cypriot law. In Year 1, students build foundational understanding through Legal Method and Public Law, with optional modules such as Introduction to Business Law, Foundations of English and Cypriot Law, Professional Development and Skills, Comparative Law, and current legal issues. Year 2 develops core legal knowledge with compulsory modules in Contract Law and Criminal Law, while offering options including International and EU Law, Human Rights, Mooting and Legal Debating, Classical Foundations of Modern Law, and Cyprus Public Law. In Year 3, students study Tort Law and European Union Law as core subjects, alongside optional areas such as Consumer and Commercial Law, Public and Private International Law, Employment and Family Law, International Human Rights and Criminal Law, research methods, and work-based learning. The final year focuses on advanced compulsory subjects including Land Law and Equity and Trusts, with options such as Company and Corporate Law, Jurisprudence, Dispute Resolution, Medicine and the Law, Cyprus Property and Succession Law, and a dissertation. Overall, the program balances theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional development.
