COURSE CURRICULUM

The BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering program at UCLan Cyprus is structured over four years to build strong theoretical foundations and advanced technical expertise. In Year 1, students develop essential engineering knowledge through modules in calculus and linear algebra, applied physics, electronics and instrumentation, electrical engineering fundamentals, programming, and academic research skills. Year 2 expands on these foundations with studies in mechanics, digital electronics, electronic engineering practice, computational mathematics, and probability theory, while optional modules in computing and algorithms allow students to broaden their technical profile. In Year 3, the focus shifts to core engineering systems, including signals and control systems, electronic systems and applications, data communications, digital systems, and power engineering, ensuring students gain in-depth understanding of both electronics and energy-related technologies. The final year emphasizes professional development and independent learning through engineering professionalism and a major project, alongside options such as digital communications, microcontroller systems, wireless and mobile technologies, power electronics, renewable energy sources, digital signal processing, and power systems operation and control. Overall, the program integrates mathematics, electronics, communications, and power systems to prepare graduates for diverse engineering careers in modern technological industries.
