COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Information Systems and Digital Innovation is a three-semester postgraduate programme designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in information systems, digital transformation, and emerging technologies. In the first semester, students gain a strong foundation through core modules in IT project management, digital entrepreneurship and innovative business models, disruptive technologies and digital transformation, and research methods. These subjects equip students with the managerial and analytical skills needed to lead technology-driven projects, develop innovative business solutions, and understand the impact of digital transformation on organisations. The second semester focuses on the design, development, and application of modern information systems through modules in information systems analysis and design, problem-solving programming with machine learning techniques, and big data and analytics. Students can further specialise by choosing electives such as information security, blockchain and cryptocurrencies, behavioural science and decision-making with modern technology, or digital marketing, allowing them to tailor their studies according to their professional interests and career goals. The programme concludes in the third semester with a dissertation worth 30 ECTS, where students undertake independent research and apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills to solve real-world problems related to information systems and digital innovation. Overall, the programme combines computer science, business innovation, and emerging technologies to prepare graduates for leadership roles in the digital economy.
