COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM in International Commercial Law, delivered by Neapolis University Pafos in collaboration with University of Reading, is a specialised postgraduate programme that provides advanced knowledge of international business and commercial law while offering significant flexibility through a range of optional modules. The programme can be completed in one year full-time or two years part-time and culminates in a substantial dissertation worth 60 UK credits, enabling students to undertake independent research in a specialised area of international commercial law. During the first semester, students study the compulsory module Advanced International Commercial Law Issues and may choose the Advanced Research Methods module, which spans both semesters, or select from a range of specialist electives including International Banking and Finance Law, International Commercial Arbitration, Contemporary Issues in Intellectual Property Law, Legal Aspects of Corporate Rescue, and International Organisations and Global Governance. The second semester includes the compulsory module International Corporate Finance and the Law, together with either Research Methods for LLM Students or the continuation of the Advanced Research Methods module. Students then select an additional specialist module from areas such as International Corporate Governance and the Law, Legal Aspects of International Mergers, Acquisitions and Takeovers, Financial Services Law and Compliance, Emerging Issues in Data Protection and Copyright Law, or International Investment Law and Arbitration. The curriculum combines legal theory with practical and commercial perspectives, allowing students to develop expertise in areas including international finance, arbitration, corporate governance, banking regulation, investment law, intellectual property, and data protection. Through advanced research, analytical training, and specialised electives, the programme prepares graduates for careers in international law firms, multinational corporations, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and international organisations. The internationally recognised degree awarded by the University of Reading further enhances graduates' professional credibility and provides a strong foundation for leadership roles in global legal practice, corporate advisory services, and international commercial regulation.
