COURSE CURRICULUM
The Bachelor programme in Hospitality and Tourism Management comprises 129 credits and 240 ECTS, offering a comprehensive education that combines hospitality, tourism, business, communication, and practical industry experience. The curriculum is built around core hospitality modules covering areas such as hospitality management, food and beverage service, culinary management, rooms division management, restaurant operations, human resource management, service quality, revenue and cost management, research methods, and innovation in hospitality and tourism. Students also complete a final year project and three internships, providing valuable hands-on industry experience and professional development opportunities. The tourism component introduces students to travel and tourism principles, destination management, marketing, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and special interest tourism, enabling them to understand global tourism trends and industry practices. A range of elective courses allows students to specialise in areas such as wine and beverage appreciation, hospitality information systems, crisis management, consumer behaviour, international tourism, and cultural tourism. The programme also includes a strong business foundation through modules in accounting, organisational behaviour, business law, management, and strategic management, equipping students with essential managerial and leadership skills. English language courses strengthen academic and professional communication abilities, while computer and mathematics modules develop digital competencies, e-commerce knowledge, and analytical skills through business mathematics and statistics. In addition, students can broaden their cultural awareness through general education electives, including foreign languages such as French and Greek, applied ethics, cultural understanding, and Cypriot history. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical training and multidisciplinary learning, the programme prepares graduates for supervisory and managerial careers in hotels, resorts, travel companies, event management organisations, tourism agencies, and other sectors of the global hospitality and tourism industry. The curriculum is specifically designed to produce competent, innovative, and industry-ready professionals with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
