COURSE CURRICULUM

The English Language Foundation Program follows a structured one-year curriculum divided into two semesters and is specifically designed to develop the English proficiency and academic skills of international students preparing for undergraduate studies. During the first semester, students are introduced to the language expectations of higher education and the academic environment while focusing on the development of essential skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The programme also emphasizes the expansion of academic vocabulary, language accuracy, and practical communication through interactive learning and language application activities. In the second semester, students continue to strengthen these core competencies through advanced modules that further develop their listening and speaking abilities, improve reading comprehension and critical analysis, and enhance academic writing skills. The curriculum also expands students’ vocabulary and language use in academic contexts while providing additional opportunities to apply their English skills in practical and real-life situations. Although the programme does not carry ECTS credits, it serves as an intensive preparatory course aimed at ensuring that students reach the required English proficiency level for successful participation in undergraduate programmes. The curriculum is carefully designed to build confidence in communication, encourage active classroom participation, and develop independent learning and study skills that are essential for academic success. Through continuous language practice and exposure to an English-speaking educational environment, students gain the linguistic competence and academic readiness needed to transition smoothly into degree-level studies. By the end of the programme, participants are expected to demonstrate significant improvement in their English language abilities and possess the communication and academic skills necessary to meet university requirements and succeed in an international higher education environment.
