ABOUT UNIVERSITY

American University of Cyprus is a private, American-style liberal arts university located in North Nicosia, Northern Cyprus, where English is the primary language of instruction. Established in 2014, the university is affiliated with Girne American University and is committed to providing high-quality education based on international academic standards. Its main campus is situated in the historic Surlariçi Arabahmet area of North Nicosia, with additional facilities located within the famous Venetian Walls of Nicosia and along Dereboyu Avenue. The university offers a diverse range of academic programs through three faculties and one vocational school. These include the Faculty of Fine Arts with programs in Architecture and Plastic Arts, the Faculty of Business and Economics offering Business Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management, and the Faculty of Political Science with programs in Political Science and International Relations. The Vocational School of Health provides career-focused health education. In addition, the university has a Lifelong Learning Center that offers arts and sciences-based courses and a Foundation School for English language and preparatory programs. It is also a member of respected organizations such as the European Council for Business Education and the Cyprus Universities Association.
