Course Curriculum

The Finance concentration within the Business Administration major provides students with a solid foundation in financial principles, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making. The program begins with core business courses such as financial accounting, business ethics, legal and global business environments, and integrated courses in finance, management, operations, and marketing. Collateral requirements include applied economics, spreadsheet modeling, and statistical methods, helping students build analytical and technological proficiency. In addition to this strong core, students complete career preparation modules designed to ease their transition from campus to professional life.The concentration itself includes a sequence of advanced finance courses. Students begin with an introduction to finance and progress through corporate finance, investments, international financial management, advanced corporate finance, financial derivatives, and advanced investment analysis. These courses prepare students to assess financial performance, manage risk, evaluate investment strategies, and make informed financial decisions in global contexts.Students also select nine elective credits from a broad list of specialized topics, such as financial planning, fintech, blockchain, working capital management, and real estate investments.
