COURSE CURRICULUM

The Information and Communication Technology program is structured to develop students’ understanding of computer systems, networking technologies, and digital infrastructure management. After completing foundational studies in the first year, students progress to specialized coursework in the second year, beginning with Data Communications and Network Management and Operating Systems. These subjects provide essential knowledge of network communication, system administration, computer resource management, and the operation of modern computing environments. In the second semester, students study Computer Systems and Computing Topics, gaining deeper understanding of hardware, software interactions, emerging technologies, and practical computing applications. In the third year, students advance their technical skills through Distributed Networks, exploring the design and management of interconnected systems, and select an additional unit in either Internet of Things Design and Communications or STEM Professional Practice. These subjects develop expertise in IoT technologies, professional skills, and digital innovation. Students also complete Computer Project 1, applying their knowledge to real-world computing challenges, while choosing between Network Engineering and STEM Professional Practice to further enhance their technical or professional capabilities. The program combines theoretical learning with practical experience in networking, systems, automation, and communication technologies. Graduates develop the skills required for careers in network management, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, IoT solutions, systems administration, and digital technology industries.
