COURSE CURRICULUM

The Data Science program is structured to develop students’ expertise in data analysis, computing, statistics, and modern data-driven technologies. After completing foundational studies in the first year, students progress to specialized coursework in the second year, beginning with Computer Simulation and Analytics for Experimental and Simulated Data. These subjects provide students with skills in modelling complex systems, interpreting data patterns, and applying statistical techniques to solve practical problems. In the second semester, students study Fundamental Concepts of Data Security and Data Mining, gaining knowledge of protecting information, discovering valuable insights from large datasets, and applying advanced analytical methods. In the third year, students further develop their technical and professional capabilities through subjects such as Industrial Project or STEM Professional Practice, allowing them to gain experience in research, industry applications, and professional communication. Students also study advanced computing topics including Cloud Computing or Design and Analysis of Algorithms, strengthening their understanding of modern computational systems and efficient data processing. Additional units in Analytics for Observational Data and Data Visualisation enhance students’ ability to analyze real-world information and communicate findings effectively. The program combines statistical methods, computer science, and practical industry applications to prepare graduates for careers in data analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, research, business intelligence, and technology-driven industries where data plays a key role in innovation and decision-making.
