COURSE CURRICULUM

The Mining Engineering program is structured over four years to provide students with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional understanding required for careers in the global mining and resources industry. After completing foundational engineering studies in the first year, students progress to specialized subjects in the second year, including Data Science in Practice, Fluid Mechanics, Fundamentals of Mineral Processing, Geology for Resource Engineers, Introduction to Mining and Digital Applications, Mine Economics, and Surveying and Geo-Informatics. These courses establish essential knowledge in resource evaluation, mining technologies, data analysis, geological processes, and economic considerations. In the third year, students develop advanced expertise through Mining Geomechanics, Mining Methods, Mining and Sustainability, Resource Estimation, Mine Planning, Mine Ventilation, and Rock Excavation. These subjects focus on designing safe and efficient mining operations, understanding geological conditions, managing resources, and applying sustainable practices. The program integrates modern mining technologies, including digital applications, data-driven decision-making, and innovative engineering methods, preparing students to address challenges in both underground and open-pit mining environments.
