COURSE CURRICULUM

The Industrial and Systems Engineering program is structured over four years to develop students’ knowledge and skills in designing, optimizing, and managing complex industrial systems. After completing foundational engineering studies in the first year, students progress to specialized subjects in the second year, including Fundamentals of Strength of Materials, Machine Dynamics, Signals and Systems, Supply Chain Modelling and Optimisation, Computer Aided Drawing and Engineering Modelling, Ethics and Sustainability in Engineering, Fundamentals of Mechanical Design, and Manufacturing Processes. These courses provide essential knowledge in mechanical systems, engineering analysis, digital modelling, sustainable practices, and industrial operations. In the third year, students advance their expertise through subjects such as Advanced Strength of Materials, Dynamic Modelling and Control, Operations Research, Exposure to Professional Engineering Practice, Logistics Modelling and Optimisation, and Machine Design. These units focus on improving system performance through analytical methods, automation, optimization techniques, and practical engineering applications. The program emphasizes the integration of engineering design, manufacturing, supply chain management, and operational efficiency to prepare students for real-world industrial challenges. Students develop skills in modelling, simulation, decision-making, and process improvement while gaining professional awareness of ethical and sustainable engineering practices.
