COURSE CURRICULUM

The Environmental Engineering program is structured over four years to equip students with the scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and practical skills required to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development. After completing foundational engineering studies in the first year, students begin specialized coursework in the second year with subjects including Energy Management and Climate Change, Environmental Chemistry and Microbiology, Fluid Mechanics, Water Resource Management and Treatment Principles, Environmental Monitoring and Analysis, Principles of Geomechanics, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management, and Wastewater Treatment Principles and Design. These courses provide a strong understanding of environmental systems, pollution control, water treatment, waste management, and climate-related engineering issues. In the third year, students build advanced knowledge through Environmental Impact Assessment, Green Engineering Principles and Applications, Soil and Groundwater Remediation Technologies, Aerial Emissions and Abatement, Engineering Management and Professional Practice, and Hydraulics and Hydrology. The curriculum emphasizes sustainable engineering design, environmental protection, resource management, and professional practice while developing analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Students learn to assess environmental impacts, develop innovative pollution prevention strategies, and design sustainable engineering solutions that meet regulatory and community needs.
