COURSE CURRICULUM

The Energy Engineering program is structured over four years to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in sustainable energy technologies, energy systems, and engineering design. Following foundational engineering studies in the first year, the second year introduces core subjects including Mass and Energy Balances, Electrical Circuits, Process Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Introduction to Energy Engineering, Thermodynamics, Sustainable Energy Systems Engineering, and Mechanics for Energy Engineering. These courses establish the scientific and engineering principles required for analyzing and designing modern energy systems. In the third year, students develop specialized expertise through Renewable Energy Principles, Energy Conversion and Sustainable Management, Hydrogen Energy, Energy Economics, Management and Markets, Energy Storage, and Energy Transport. These subjects focus on clean energy technologies, renewable resources, efficient energy conversion, storage solutions, and sustainable energy markets. During the final year, students study Carbon Management and Renewable Energy Systems while completing two Engineering Industry Research Projects and a comprehensive Energy Engineering Design Project. These experiences enable students to apply technical knowledge, research skills, and engineering design principles to solve real-world energy challenges. Overall, the program prepares graduates with strong technical, analytical, and professional skills to design, develop, and manage sustainable energy systems while supporting the global transition toward renewable energy, carbon reduction, and net-zero emissions.
