COURSE CURRICULUM

The Graphic Design major is structured to progressively develop students’ creative thinking, technical skills and visual communication abilities through a combination of design theory, studio practice and industry-focused projects. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through Start Design Thinking, where they learn creative problem-solving methods, design processes and approaches to generating innovative ideas. Typography introduces students to the principles of visual language, type design, composition and effective communication through written and visual elements. In the second year, students expand their design capabilities through Creative Design Studio, which encourages experimentation, collaboration and the development of practical design solutions. Graphic Design 1 and Graphic Design 2 build technical proficiency and conceptual understanding, allowing students to explore areas such as branding, digital design, layout, visual identity and communication strategies. In the third year, students refine their professional practice through Graphic Design 3 and Graphic Design 4, focusing on advanced design concepts, creative development and industry-standard outcomes. Visual Communication further strengthens students’ ability to communicate ideas effectively through visual systems, research and strategic design approaches. Through studio-based learning and practical projects, students graduate with the skills required for careers in graphic design, branding, digital media, advertising, publishing and visual communication industries.
