COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce major in International Business is structured to develop students’ understanding of global markets, international management practices, and the challenges of operating across different cultural and economic environments. The course begins with Introduction to Global Business, providing students with foundational knowledge of international trade, globalisation, and the factors influencing multinational enterprises. In the second year, students build essential business skills through units such as Organisational Behaviour and International Business Ethics, which explore workplace dynamics, ethical decision-making, and responsible business practices in a global context. Students also have the opportunity to select alternative core units, including Project Management, Marketing Across Borders, Human Resources Management Introduction, or Supply Chain Management, allowing them to tailor their studies toward specific career interests. In the third year, students advance their strategic and leadership capabilities through International Management and Strategic Management, focusing on managing global operations, developing business strategies, and responding to international challenges. The final unit, Responsible Management in Asia, provides insights into regional business practices, sustainability, and responsible leadership in Asian markets. Through this structured curriculum, students gain a combination of management, analytical, communication, and strategic skills, preparing them for careers in international business, global management, marketing, supply chain, consulting, trade, and multinational organisations.
